The federal Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004 includes a provision requiring all school districts participating in any federally funded child nutrition program to establish a locally developed school wellness policy by the beginning of the 2006-07 school year. The purpose of the guide is to provide instruction for completing each section of the Student Wellness Policy Implementation Monitoring Report in order to fulfill the monitoring and implementation requirements of the policy. Materials include a guide, separate sample report and CD, which contains editable documents for customizing your report.
